Most of the time the definition here is admirable, but it is plagued by murkiness that dilutes the already cool color palate. While the transfer isn’t entirely inconsistent, the crispness from one scene to the next varies minutely. Wide shots tend to show the most fluctuation; sometimes displaying great fidelity, and other times being softer and a little bit hazy. This could be due to what the camera filmed, and not a lazy high def transfer. Inherent film grain is constantly present, though it’s remarkably void of any debris or unwanted elements. Overall, this is just adequate picture quality
Presented in it’s original 2.35:1 theatrical ratio.
Audio:
This is far from an exciting audio mix, though to the film’s credit, it doesn’t boast a heavy aural experience. There is a lot of dialogue, a few select scenes where the sound design is at the forefront, and a jazzy musical score that is merely just presented without too precious of treatment. You might find yourself adjust the volume between music cues and talking scenes. Despite it’s 5.1 DTS audio, the overall effect is quite flat and will doubtfully impress anyone.
English 5.1 DTS-HD-Master Audio

Nothing. Nothing at all.
Value: 1/2
This is the definition of a bare-bones release, as it even only boasts a single English audio track, (sorry Spanish and French speaking countries!) The film is entertaining enough to warrant a view, but as far as Blu-ray releases go, Henry’s Crime is sure to quickly find its way into the bargain bin.
Will There Be A Double Dip?
If Fox didn’t even divvy out for multiple language tracks, I highly doubt we’ll ever see a special edition of this film.
